GREGORIO R. ALENTON III, JD

Hello! I am Gregorio R. Alenton III, a Cagayan de Oro based lawyer with a dedication to provide dependable and consistently curated legal services for my clients. My primary goal is to ensure that my clients not only get effective representation but an efficient one as well. With me as your counsel, you can be assured that every possible solution that will make your legal journey easier will be explored, finding a short but effective resolution of your concerns highly likely. Let me introduce myself to you.

Education and Professional Background

I completed my Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) degrees at Liceo de Cagayan University, College of Law, in the academic year 2014-2015. Determined to excel, I then enrolled in the Bar Exam Review Program at the University of the Philippines College of Law, Diliman. The hard work and dedication paid off when I successfully passed the 2015 Philippine Bar Examinations, marking the beginning of my legal career.

Before even being admitted to the bar, I gained valuable experience by working as a paralegal at a private law firm. This early exposure to the legal field provided me with practical insights and a strong foundation for my future career.

fields of practice

Throughout my legal journey, I have primarily focused on criminal, civil, and administrative litigation, as well as in providing general legal services for foreign clients. My practice however also covers a wide array of other legal matters, including family law and succession, contract law and property, national and local election law, local government, agrarian reform and natural resources, land registration, immigration, labor, as well as commercial and corporation law.

CRIMINAL LITIGATION

In the realm of criminal litigation, I have gained extensive experience in representing clients facing a wide range of charges. Whether defending individuals or prosecuting cases, I have dedicated myself to upholding the principles of justice and ensuring fair and expeditious trials for all parties involved. My brand of litigation incorporates an approach that maximizes the benefits of criminal procedure and substantive law, ensuring that my clients are afforded the most efficient and effective remedy possible. I understand that Philippine legal proceedings may take some time, and too long for most clients to be frank, this is why I am committed to helping you find the shortest possible route to the best possible solution to your concerns. My adept understanding of Philippine criminal procedure, and my experience in criminal litigation allows me to provide this relief to you as my client.

EXPERIENCE IN HANDLING EXPATRIATE CLIENTS

Beyond my local clientele from Cagayan de Oro and nearby provinces, I have proudly represented a substantial number of expatriate clients and tourists from different countries. My understanding of diverse cultural backgrounds and legal systems allows me to provide comprehensive and culturally sensitive legal representation to clients from abroad. Being in a foreign place with unfamiliar laws can be daunting, which is why I have dedicated myself to providing excellent and compassionate legal assistance to foreigners in need of a lawyer, and a friend.

I have provided a diverse mix of services for my foreigner clients, from immigration matters which include visa application and renewal as well as naturalization proceedings; criminal litigation such as charges for Violation Against Women and their Children; family disputes including nullity of marriages, recognition of divorce decrees and custody of children; property concerns involving acquisition of property and dissolution of spousal property relations, and even setting up of local businesses.

Dedication to Client Satisfaction

My ultimate goal as an attorney is to ensure the satisfaction of my clients. From the start of my career as a paralegal to my current role as a Senior Partner at Pallugna Quimpo Alenton Macalos & Partners, I have consistently put my clients’ interests first. I believe in open communication, attentiveness to their needs, and a personalized approach to every case.

I take the time to understand each client’s unique situation and provide them with sound legal advice and strategic solutions. My dedication to their satisfaction motivates me to continuously strive for the best possible outcomes in every legal matter I handle.

I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to appear before various tribunals throughout Mindanao, as well as in some venues in Luzon and Visayas. These experiences have broadened my perspective and allowed me to serve a diverse range of clients. In a nutshell, my passion for the law, extensive experience in criminal and civil litigation, dedication to serving expatriate clients, and unwavering commitment to client satisfaction have shaped my legal career into one that seeks speedy justice, fairness, and the protection of my clients’ rights. I am committed to providing strong legal advocacy and making a positive impact in the lives of those I represent.
